I was born and raised
in Southern California. I started riding horses at the early age of 6, and I began showing when I was
10. I came home with top honors the first time I showed (and it was on a horse I had never ridden before! The horse
I had been training on got injured at the show before I even got on!), it's been that way ever since. I focused a great
deal on Morgan show horses during my junior exhibitor show career. From Hunter Equitation to Western Pleasure and Saddleseat
Equitation to Park horses. Competing has always been something that I truly love to do.
I spent my junior
exhibitor days riding under the instruction of top trainers such as, Susan Parks-Morgans and Stacy Hennessey, trainer
at Gerry Rushton Stables.
In 2000, I started training
horses for established trainers and people I knew. From Morgans to Quarter Horses and even some PMU horses. It
was then that I started to specialize in working with babies and young horses, and it has grown to be a passion
of mine. From halter breaking to starting under saddle.
I have worked for several
different types of established trainers, to gain knowledge and to build my own techniques by learning new
things from every trainer I've worked for. In the recent years, I worked for Grand Prix Dressage rider, Kristine
White, from 2006-2009, Arabian Western Performance trainer, Dusty Morgan, from 2007-2008 and from 2009-April 2010 I
worked for FEI Eventer, Jennifer Taxay. She is very well-known for her horsemanship skills, as well as her success in the
Western show arena and Eventing.
I devote my time
and knowledge to my clients, their horses and the horses I own. From starting young horses, training
horses for the show ring or trail riding, to teaching beginner riders and coaching advanced riders for the show
pen. I offer training and riding lessons for Western and English disciplines. I specialize in Western
Pleasure, Hunter Pleasure, Reining, Dressage, Trail & starting under saddle.
